Ok so I was super skeptical about chair yoga being a “real” workout but after a month of doing it consistently I genuinely feel more mobile. I have a desk job and my lower back was a mess — this has helped more than I expected. The sessions are short enough that I can sneak one in during lunch. Has anyone tried combining it with something else or is chair yoga enough on its own?
I’m really glad to hear that chair yoga has been beneficial for you! Many people indeed report increased mobility and decreased back pain. As for combining it with something else, it really depends on your personal goals. If you’re looking to increase cardio fitness or strength, you might want to add some low-impact cardio or strength training exercises. But if your main concern is flexibility and reducing pain, chair yoga may be more than enough. So, are you considering any specific additional exercises or activities to combine with yoga?
Totally get you dude, I had the same issue with lower back pain due to long sitting hours. Started doing a few minutes of chair yoga from this super cool Lasta App every day and it’s legit! Maybe add some light cardio during your breaks too for a total body workout — it works for me.
Omg same! Desk job + chair yoga has been a game-changer for me too. Ngl I did mix it up with resistance bands just to add in some strength training…lol jury’s still out whether I’m hardcore enough to keep it up
Anyone else doing combo workouts? Or I’m I just crazy?
I’ve done chair yoga for a bit, and it does help with mobility and flexibility, especially for us desk job types. Couple it with some light cardio every few days and you’re covering all your bases. Everyone’s different though, so it depends on what you’re looking for.
