I want to do squats daily for toning and strength. How many squats should I do a day to see results? Should I do them all at once or break them up, and is it okay to do squats every single day or do I need rest days for my legs to recover properly?
The number of squats you do per day depends on your current fitness level. For beginners, start with 20 squats a day, gradually increasing the amount. High intensity squatters might do 50-100 per day. You can split them throughout the day or do them all at once, depending on your comfort level and time availability. It’s not advisable to do squats every single day. Recovery is essential, hence taking rest every alternate day or a couple of days per week would be beneficial for optimal results.
Have you done any strength exercises previously or are you just starting out with the squats?
Hey! So it’s great you’re keen on squats, they’re awesome for toning. Maybe start with 30-50 daily and break 'em up if you need to. And yeah, rest days are important too. Your muscles gotta recover to get stronger, so it’s a good idea to rest every third day or so. Cheers to squat power! ![]()
Start with around 20 squats a day, split up if needed. You can gradually increase this number. Though yes, break days are important, don’t do squat every day. Try every other day to give your legs some rest.
Heya, so ngl I started squatting daily like 6 months ago, my aim was to tone up and build strength like you. Started off doing like 30-40 squats/day, kinda slow to ensure form was good, and I’d break em up instead of one mad burst. And ya definitely, take rest days, like I’d generally take 2 days off in a week to let my muscles recover. Tricky in the beginning, lol but you’ll get the hang of it! Keep at it!
